PEACE BONDS
DESCRIPTIONS: A peace bond is a surety bond for the
person, who has been accused in due form of law with threatening
and being about to commit an offense against the person of
someone to have peace toward the party you are filing on.
Defendant will make personal appearance before such magistrate
at the time and place stated to answer the accusation; and then
this obligation shall be void; otherwise it shall be and remain
in full force and effect. Once the peace bond is in effect the
period is six months to a year to keep the peace toward the
party who you filing on and if the peace bond is violated
then there is a cash bond to be submitted of $500.00 - $1,000.00
dollars. Upon failure to give such bond the defendant will
be committed to the Webb County Jail and is to be there safely
kept from the period which was rendered or until such bond is
recovered.
