The Webb County Tax Assessor-Collector's Office is conveniently located on the first floor of the Justice Center adjacent to the parking garage. 

The chief duties of this elected official is to collect property taxes for the County of Webb, and other entities: Laredo Community College, the City of Rio Bravo, the City of El Cenizo and the Webb County Drainage District #1. 

Other functions of the Webb County Tax Assessor-Collector is serving as an agent of the State of Texas in the Motor Vehicle Division of Titles and Registration, for Texas Parks and Wildlife in Boat Titles and Registrations, and for the Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission in collecting fees on Beer, Liquor and Mixed Beverage Licenses.  The Tax Office also collects Hotel/Motel Occupancy taxes for Webb County.

Patricia A. Barrera was elected to the position of Webb County Tax Assessor-Collector in 1992 and took office on January 1, 1993.
