Our court is currently holding hybrid hearings, allowing access to counselors and litigants to Zoom sessions and welcoming the general public in person to observe civil, family and/or criminal cases scheduled for hearing.

Counselors and litigants may appear in person, or virtually via Zoom, by contacting the court's civil, family or criminal court coordinators. If participating via Zoom, only attorneys, litigants and witnesses may access the hearings at the scheduled date and time by logging in with the meeting ID number which will be provided prior to the hearing.

All counsel and participating litigants are reminded that proper court decorum and dress code must be observed during all in-person and Zoom court sessions, as per the Remote Hearing Instructions and Etiquette Guide for Court Participants below.

As per Rule I 0.11 (A) & (B) of the Local Rules of the Courts of Webb County, attorneys shall wear attire that is befitting their positions as officers of the court and exhibit a professional behavior and demeanor to conform with the Lawyer's creed.

RULE 10.11 CONDUCT AND DECORUM OF COUNSEL

A. Attire: all counsel coming before the courts of Webb County, Texas shall wear attire that is befitting their positions as officers of the court.

B. Professionalism: An attorney's behavior and actions should conform to the Texas Lawyer's Creed-A Mandate for Professionalism as promulgated by the Supreme Court of Texas and the Court of Criminal Appeals as was adopted on the 7111 day of November 1989 and may be amended from time to time.

REMOTE HEARING INSTRUCTIONS
AND ETIQUETTE GUIDE FOR COURT PARTICIPANTS

1) Prior to the scheduled hearing date and time, check your equipment to make sure your phone or device functions properly.

2) Join the Zoom session at least 5 minutes before your hearing time.

3) As you join the meeting, type your full name so the Court can correctly identify you when calling your case.

4) Address the Court with respect.

5) Do not speak over the Court or other individuals. Only one person should speak at any given time to allow the Court Reporter to take down the record properly. When you are asked to speak, announce yourself by name ("This is John Smith," and "I would like to say ... ").

6) If you are on video, be sure to frame your camera correctly, with your face in the center of the screen. Your background should be neutral (like a clear wall) and free of any items or messages that may be perceived as offensive.

7) Be sure to wear clothing appropriate for the formal court environment.

AVISO DEL TRIBUNAL SOBRE ACCESO PUBLICO

Actualmente, nuestro tribunal está llevando a cabo audiencias híbridas, permitiendo el acceso a abogados y litigantes a sesiones por Zoom y recibiendo al público personalmente para observar los casos civiles, familiares y/o penales programados para audiencia.

Los abogados y litigantes pueden presentarse en persona o por Zoom contactando a nuestros coordinadores de casos civiles, familiares o penales. Si van a participar por Zoom, únicamente los abogados, litigantes y testigos pueden accesar las audiencias en la fecha y hora programadas utilizando el número de identificación de la reunión que les será proporcionado antes de la audiencia.

Se recuerda a todos los abogados y litigantes participantes que deberán observar el decoro y código de vestimenta apropiados del tribunal durante todas las sesiones de audiencias presenciales y virtuales, conforme a las Instrucciones para Audiencias Virtuales y Guía de Etiqueta para Participantes del Tribunal que aparecen abajo.

Conforme a la Regla 10.11(A) y (B) de las Reglas Locales de los Tribunales del Condado de Webb, los abogados deberán usar atuendo acorde con sus puestos como oficiales del tribunal y exhibir un comportamiento profesional de acuerdo con el Código del Abogado.

REGLA 10.11 CONDUCTA Y DECORO DEL ABOGADO

A. Atuendo: Todos los abogados que se presenten ante los tribunales del Condado de Webb deberan usar atuendo acorde con sus posiciones como oficiales del tribunal.

B. Profesionalismo: El comportamiento y las acciones de un abogado deben cumplir con el Credo del Abogado ― Un Mandato de Profesionalismo según lo promulgado por el Tribunal Supremo de Texas y el Tribunal de Apelaciones Penales tal como fue adoptado el 7 de Noviembre 1989 y puede ser ocasionalmente enmendado.

INSTRUCCIONES PARA AUDIENCIAS VIRTUALES
Y GUÍA DE ETIQUETA PARA PARTICIPANTES DEL TRIBUNAL

1) Antes de la fecha y hora de su audiencia, revise su equipo para asegurarse de que su teléfono o dispositivo electrónico funcione adecuadamente.

2) Únase a la sesión de Zoom al menos 5 minutos antes de la hora de su audiencia.

3) Mientras se une a la reunión, escriba su nombre completo para que el Juez pueda identificarlo(a) correctamente cuando llame su caso.

4) Diríjase al Juez con respeto.

5) No hable al mismo tiempo que el Juez u otras personas. Sólo una persona debe hablar a la vez para permitir a la estenógrafa de la corte que tome el registro adecuadamente. Cuando se le pida que hable, anúnciese por su nombre (“Soy Juan Smith” y “Quisiera decir que…”).

6) Si está en video, asegúrese de encuadrar su cámara correctamente, con su cara en el centro de la pantalla. Su fondo debe ser neutral (como una pared limpia) y libre de elementos o mensajes que puedan percibirse como ofensivos.

7) Asegúrese de usar ropa apropiada para el entorno formal del tribunal.
