Emergency Medication Assistance Program

What is the Webb County Emergency Medications Assistance Program?
This program assists eligible low-income county residents with the purchase of antibiotic / antifungal and pain medications on an emergency basis.  
This program was created as a way to assist low-income county residents with medications prescribed to them upon discharge from the hospital or emergency clinic in an effort to avoid them returning to the emergency room from further complications.  

Who is eligible for assistance? County residents with no other medical coverage (Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, etc.) who meet program income/resource limits.

What types of medications are covered? This program is limited to antibiotic/ antifungal and Pain medications.



Could I get assistance for other medications?
Yes, county residents who present prescriptions for maintenance medication for illnesses such as diabetes, hyper/hypo-tension, cholesterol, etc. are referred for possible assistance through either the County Indigent Health Care Program (CIHCP) or Pharmaceutical Assistance Program.

How to Apply for services
Clients are seen in-office between the following days/hours:
Monday – Friday 8:00am – 11:00am and 1:00pm – 3:00pm
